Admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor to the New Zealand Bar in 1986.
Worked for Russell McVeagh McKenzie Bartleet & Co. (located in NZ).
Moved to Rarotonga, Cook Islands to BGH and became
a partner of the firm in 1989 and remains a partner until today. Specialises in
banking and finance, commercial and corporate law and civil litigation. Has considerable
experience in giving legal advice to international clients including law firms
and banks acting in respect of, or in connection, with Cook Island International
companies or Cook Islands International Trusts.
Has been involved in most of the Cook Islands Asset Protection Trusts litigation
either for creditors or the trusts themselves. Current President of the Cook Island
Law Society. |

Graduated from Canterbury University with a Bachelor
of Laws in 1979.
Admitted as a Barrister & Solicitor to the New Zealand Bar in 1980.
Worked for Russell McVeagh McKenzie Bartleet & Co. (located in NZ).
Returned to Rarotonga, Cook Islands in 1981 and worked for the Crown Law Office.
Moved to BGH in the same year and became a partner
of that firm in 1985.
Specialises in all areas of land law including land rights according to local
custom, purchase sale and lease of commercial and residental properties, the financing
of property transactions, preparation of Wills and Trusts, estate administration
and family law. Gernerally acknowledged as the country's leading practitioner
in the area of land law. A former member of the Public Expenditure Review Comitee
and former Supervisory Comission Board, a recently formed Board whose function
includes licensing and regulating financial institutions in the Cook Islands.

Graduated from Victoria University of Wellington
with a Bachelor of Laws in 1986.
Admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor to the New Zealand Bar in 1986.
Worked for Phillips Fox from 1986 to 1992, initially as a staff solicitor and
subsequently as a senior associate of the firm (located in NZ).
Following the birth of her first child employed by Wellington Polytechnic initially
as a lecturer and subsequently as a lecturer and examiner for the legal executive
programme from 1993-1995. Moved to Rarotonga in 1995 and commenced employment
with BGH in 1997 and became a partner of the firm
2000.
Specialises in domestic and international banking and finance and commercial and
property transactions. |
